Release examines notions of the relationships between materials but also their relevance to the inner self. Close exploration of Release provides us with an opportunity to relate to the canvases’ ‘release’ and the boarders they are being limited by, thus encouraging one to search for similar aspects within the human soul. The simple act of searching and the willingness to explore such notions, we believe, is enough to aid the act of freeing oneself from things perceived as burdens (i.e., feelings, memories).
