Sides brings together two opposing forces—restriction and freedom—each defined and enhanced by the presence of the other. The frame structure represents the body: a vessel of containment. In contrast, the vibrant strips weaving through and around it evoke the flow of emotion, unbound and dynamic. The work reflects on the intricate relationship between feeling and form, and the body’s quiet ability to hold, channel, and organise emotional complexity.
